As part of TJX’s Global Communications team, the Corporate Communications Senior Specialist is a skilled writer and communicator who supports corporate responsibility communications and corporate communications.

In this role, you will contribute to communications projects related to key business needs, with a primary focus on global corporate responsibility communications projects and related Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) needs. This includes contributing to TJX's annual corporate responsibility report and TJX.com updates; creating and implementing corporate responsibility communications strategies; using critical thinking skills to analyze sources and build summary reports; diving into media monitoring with a thoughtful lens; supporting areas of TJX’s real estate work; and using strong communications skills on a variety of topics. This role requires some off-hours work (nights/weekends/early mornings).

Major Areas of Responsibility:

• Corporate Responsibility/ESG Communications:
• Serve as primary liaison with specified internal corporate responsibility partners; collect data and information on programs
• Draft text and lead review process with internal partners for specified sections of annual global corporate responsibility report in partnership with Corporate Communications Manager
• Support Corporate Communications Manager in prep work for ESG engagements, including research, compiling historical data, and drafting prep materials
• Support strategic ESG work, including monitoring ESG and corporate responsibility reporting trends and delivering strategic recommendations to Global Communications leadership
• Compile executive summaries on various ESG topics
• Compile reports on ESG communications work
• Conduct peer benchmarking and reviews, analyzing and making recommendations on ESG and Corporate Responsibility communications
• Support development of Corporate Responsibility communications plan, including project management and writing of materials
• Analyze media stories, reports, rankings, and other sources as needed to build an executive summary; consider recommendations on responses as necessary
• Corporate Communications:
• Part of daily media monitoring for stories regarding TJX, its divisions, and relevant industry news; create and distribute daily report on worldwide coverage internally
• Support corporate communications process for real estate; build messaging and press statements as needed
• Support special projects for larger Global Communications and Investor Relations team

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of proven experience in communications; public company experience a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; business writing experience preferred.
• Strong project management skills, well-organized, detail oriented, and proactive.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
