Director, Category Growth - Womens

The Director of Category Growth will be responsible for developing and executing the overall growth and merchandising strategy of a total division of business on to achieve top line sales objectives. This role reports directly to the VP of Category Growth, and works closely with cross-functional partners to develop, implement, and execute data-driven channel strategies, marketing activations, and a customer-centric site experience.

You will:

  • Function as the category expert, and plays a key role in building the business plan and the strategic direction for the category and Saks brand as a whole
  • Drive holistic site strategy for a specific division of the business, using data-driven insights to create a seamless customer experience on site. Continuously strive to better understand customer behavior and gain actionable insights to inform marketing and site enhancements
  • Manage key drivers behind sales, including: traffic, average order value and conversion, to ensure the team is on track to achieve topline sales plans
  • Leverage key investment strategy and product launches to partner with marketing and content on key initiatives
  • Build dashboards to monitor the metrics that directly and indirectly drive digital growth. Conduct data analysis and market research to identify opportunities
  • Ensure constant monitoring of customer activity, market channel data, and operational data to develop insightful analysis, strategize outsized growth for respective category, and report to relevant business stakeholders
  • Lead a team of individuals focusing on execution of business strategies with an emphasis on collaboration and inclusivity
  • Collaborating with internal and external teams. Work closely with marketing, buying/planning, operations, creative, product, as well as brand partners, to drive the success of
  • Partner closely with team leaders to develop and enhance the Saks brand, website, and competitive positioning

  • Prior experience working in luxury eCommerce a plus

You also have:

  • 6+ years of e-commerce, category management, site merchandising, and/or digital marketing experience
  • 3+ years demonstrated experience managing a team
