The Director, Compensation & Benefits is an important player within the HR management team, as key expert in reviewing, researching, designing and implementing compensation and benefit programs within a highly competitive and dynamic industry and a complex legal framework across the region.

The position provides subject matter expertise to the region in the areas of plan design, implementation, delivery, legal compliance, financial management, communication and execution of the company’s Total Rewards compensation and benefit plans.

The role works closely with different Business partners, HRBPs, Global Total Rewards Finance and Legal teams.


Compensation and Benefits Design

  • Analyze the effectiveness of existing compensation and benefit programs across+20 countries, field and professional populations (+10K headcount).
  • Formulate case-based recommendations to senior management regarding changes or implementation of new programs consistent with market trends and business strategies across the region and countries, in line with Total Rewards mission.

Business Advisory

  • Partners with Division HR, Corporate HR and function owners to perform job evaluations to secure consistency of pay practices across areas of impacts in the organization and ensure buy-in of these pay practices across function owners.
  • Monitor the organization’s salary structure and benefit plans to ensure optimal balance between control of costs and attracting and retaining staff, as well as ensuring legal compliance.
  • Continuously supports the organization’s growth plans by anticipating business needs and formulate plan adjustments accordingly.
  • Delivers adjustment plans smoothly, including seamless communication strategies about changing policies aiming to reach optimal buy-in across client groups.
  • Work alongside Human Resources Business Partners, Finance, and Legal to provide hands-on support establishing credibility based on knowledge and experience with strategic initiatives, administration and special projects

Vendor Management

  • Participates actively in vendor selection, RFPs, service level agreement definitions and contract management for vendors in connection with administration of Total Rewards programs.
  • Manage internal and external partners ensuring compliance with service level agreements and efficient administration and delivery of compensation and benefit programs.

Operational Delivery

  • Manage the administration of compensation and benefit programs, supporting the HRBP and teams across the region.
  • Supervise the participation in and conduct salary surveys
  • Takes the lead on ad hoc special projects pertaining to Total Reward strategies
  • Facilitates and controls compensation and benefits data administration and reporting via Peoplesoft HRMS and other related Compensation/Workforce administration tools.


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration and/or Human Resource Management
  • 5- 8 years of expert-level experience in analysis, design and/or administration of Compensation and Benefits programs, including 1-2 years of people management experience, preferably in a dynamic and international working environment
  • Professional certification in compensation (CCP) or courses toward such is a plus
  • Fluent in English, additional European languages are strong assets
  • Experience with process design is highly preferred
  • Solid understanding of EU employment law and labor environment
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills: ability to draw conclusions from numerical data and derive strategies
  • Strong computer skills and data savvy, able to adjust to various data sources quickly
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence across all levels of a complex, culturally diverse matrix organization: natural ability to engage others into buying into a vision or a solution, while keeping an open mind to others opinions
  • Strong level of autonomy and self-accountability; acquired ability to formulate solutions prior to escalating issues and keep sensitive of all risks and impacts of solutions.
  • Able to work as part of a team and coordinate activities with other departments in an engaging way/ no silo mentality
  • Ability to work under time and results pressure, tight deadlines and changing priorities
  • Excellent project management skills with hands-on attitude: ability to drive and manage projects from concept to roll-out execution
  • Strong ability to follow-through, persistence to add value and elevate quality
  • Interest in sports fashion, trends and areas of impact/ touch points relevant to our consumer group is a strong asset
