Director, Digital Merchandising

The Director, Digital Merchandising will develop a comprehensive digital commerce strategy for the Wine business that improves the customer experience, drives personalization and increases digital sales and margin. You will work with senior leaders to develop an overarching digital commerce strategy that blends commerce and content while elevating as the authority in the online beverage business. You will work together to build a team of experts to achieve and implement your strategy. This new role will report to the VP, Digital Merchandising.

You will:

  • Develop category merchandising strategies by creating differential shopping experiences for our customer segments
  • Create a seamless, well-integrated omni channel merchandised customer experience
  • Develop merchandising KPI’s for evaluating our performance
    Enhance brand and digital consumer experience to attract, educate and convert customers
  • Manage 3rd party content tools for personalization, search, ratings and reviews
  • Develop content strategy and supporting creative briefsDevelop an editorial calendar, style guides, metadata framework and content migration plans that supports the content strategy and promotional needs
  • Ensure content is original, authentic, informative, on brand and SEO friendly while ensuring all regulatory requirements are met.
  • Maintain awareness and knowledge of assortment, site experience, and promotional strategies
  • Compile and analyze our performance data and make recommendations to site merchandising teams based on outcomes
  • Create and implement an A/B testing strategy to identify opportunities for optimization
  • Help with the technical integration of content as it relates to deploying and publishing across web platforms
  • Build collaborative relationships across the team
  • Create a dynamic, coaching culture to attract and retain talent
  • Work with and manage strategic vendor partner relationships

You will come with:

  • 10+ years of progressive growth within digital merchandising, digital marketing, digital merchant, digital content or a combination
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or related field
  • Experience working in an organization that uses an agile methodology
  • Experience increasing sales and traffic to corporate/brand websites
