Foot Locker is looking for an innovative and strategic Director of Acquisition and Retention to drive holistic customer growth and loyalty. The Director of Acquisition and Retention is responsible for leveraging data effectively to create customer acquisition and retention strategies and overseeing and optimizing performance across paid and owned channels. This position will make sure brand positioning constantly drives the health of the omni customer file through growth, frequency and loyalty. The Director of Acquisition & Retention will partner across many functions of marketing and externally to ensure the strategy and performance results deliver on financial and customer targets.

  • Lead and develop a team of highly talented marketers in creation and always on assessment of campaign performance, creating efficiencies and effectiveness across paid media and CRM channels (SEM, Paid Social, Video, Email, SMS, etc.) while driving growth and business impact
  • Responsible for architecting, managing and delivering holistic customer strategy against aggressive business targets, growth and profitability objectives
  • Own performance marketing and collaborate with internal COE and external performance agencies to drive growth and uncover new opportunities to test to drive acquisition and incremental revenue
  • Develop long term vision to drive revenue, increase conversion rate, customer lifetime value (LTV), and average order value (AOV) through marketing channel optimization, CRM program, and collaborating on e-commerce site optimization
  • Define, measure, and review performance ROIs and report on business key metrics and inform the company on marketing returns on investment, as well as suggest appropriate next steps and course of actions to take
  • Responsible for leading strategy to execution of effective paid search and paid media campaigns, aimed at driving ROI and LTV in a high growth environment
  • Develop Retention strategies and tactics, that will then be activated across email, SMS, retail, Shop app, retargeting infrastructure and cohesive integration and support of FLX loyalty program
  • Partner with the Marketing Analytics team to leverage data and analytics to develop deep consumer insights, and use them to continuously drive higher revenue and Share of Wallet
  • Partners with the FLX Loyalty teams, to leverage their capabilities to drive retention success
  • Partners with Marketing and Ecommerce team to bring strategies to life and create seamless omnichannel experience



  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in creative strategy and production
  • In-house or agency creative experience
  • Passion for sneaker culture, sports and entertainment
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment which demands high quality, creativity and consistency
  • Organizational and communication skills
  • Superior written, presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven relationship building skills
