Faherty is looking for a Director of Operations & Logistics to lead a team in charge of ensuring customer satisfaction across all sales channels including, but not limited to DTC E-com customers, our own fast-growing fleet of retail stores and large scale department stores, specialty wholesalers.

You will be helping to build best-in-class standard operating procedures as the brand scales and work with operating partners across the company.

This position will report to the Vice President of Planning & Allocation and Business Operations and will manage a team of Operations managers and associates specific to their areas of business ownership.

What you will do:

Warehousing and Logistics

  • Manage the relationship and maintain daily communication with our 3PL to ensure output meets monthly budget goals and weekly volume forecasts.
  • Manage adhoc projects with the 3PL and internal operating partners, including – inspection and relabel requests, inventory reconciliations, and special fulfillment requests.
  • Develop new and improve upon preexisting SOPs to ensure warehouse delivers best-in-class service to Faherty and its customers.

Inventory and Order Management

  • Actively manage and reconcile virtual inventory across WMS, ERP, Store POS/OMS and Wholesale Ordering platforms.
  • Supervise leaders of channel operation teams that oversee omniorder fulfillment, wholesale open order volume, inventory transfers and returns.

Small Parcel Management

  • Manage and forecast small parcel volume and process.
  • Manage returns/reverse logistics process.
  • Maintain relationship with small parcel accounts.


  • Work with partners and developers to maintain system integrity and operational functionality.
  • Act as a primary lead for scoping and testing during implementation and integration work.
  • Carry out change management and training for daily operators and crossfunctional partners.
  • Communicate project status related to their area of business.

Project Management

  • Actively seek out and ideate projects that would have transformative impact to the brand and benefit multiple functions within the business.
  • Work with the greater Business Operations team to act as internal consultants and Project Managers on initiatives that require corporate wide involvement and buyin.
  • Manage corporate wide projects by aligning all new initiatives under the same methodology;<ul "list-style-type:="" circle"="">
  • Define project scope and business requirements
  • Define project team and cross-functional leads
  • Define and present timeline
  • Model out costs, ROI, and comprehensive financial assessment
  • Collect sign-off from executive leadership.

Leadership, Collaboration and Team

  • Lead and develop a team of Operations managers that will support scale and evolution of the business cross functionally.
  • Maintain a culture of continual improvement and customer/service focus, aligned with Faherty’s values.
  • Develop a service oriented team and culture, that will solve problems and processes cross functionally.
  • Develop working relationships with other leaders and teams to create transparency into input metrics and service levels to other functions/departments.
  • Be a change agent and champion.

What you’ll have:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in management position for an apparel/consumer goods company with accountability for DC management and Business Operations.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Operations or related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Ability to work with team members in a highlight collaborative environment and at all levels.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with time sensitive deliverables.
  • Strong track record of identifying problems and building efficient and effective solutions.
  • Able to approach problems both analytically and qualitatively.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel to manipulate data is required!
  • Experience with Netsuite, NewStore and Shopify a plus!
  • Working knowledge of Retail & Apparel space is a plus!
