Eco Chic Brands is a subsidiary of Credo, a San Francisco based startup boasting the largest clean beauty assortment in skincare and makeup. Eco Chic Brands is looking for a full-time Director of Private Label/Wholesale based in our SF Credo HQ. Credo is a trusted voice in an under-regulated beauty industry and is a recognized pioneer in clean beauty retail. Powered by a deep commitment to healthy beauty, we challenge the conventional ingredient standards and believe that consumers should not have to sacrifice their health for substance.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop and execute on a national and international retail growth strategy with a balance of sales, management, operations and analytical thinking
  • Build, secure and manage strategic framework for national and international key accounts
  • Create monthly/seasonal retail promotions, sales & marketing collateral, and training programs to ensure sell-through and success in existing accounts
  • Oversee and create an effective email marketing strategy to drive re-orders, increase retail store engagement, and open new accounts
  • Maintain a data-driven approach to track and report sales performance, and discover opportunities to maximize revenues
  • Create CRM and sales dashboards
  • Leverage a strong network within the cosmetic industry to identify potential key accounts and marketing opportunities
  • Take a leadership role in targeting and communicating the brand’s positioning and consumer advantages to strategic key accounts to ensure successful placement of the product line
  • Develop and monitor performance related to budgets, shipment targets, forecasts and operating expenses. Communicate status, progress and deficiencies on a regular basis, and adjustment plans as appropriate.
  • Provide input and feedback to the product development and marketing teams regarding product needs, competitive product and pricing strategies, and marketing tactics
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop strategies to drive all new launches and keep existing assortment productive
  • Work closely with exa PD and liaise new product ideas and requests from accounts.
  • Work closely with the 3PL/operational team to ensure deliveries are made timely and efficiently
  • Ensure the team is aware of any changes to marketing/product timelines
  • Report directly to the Co-Founder and COO on problem solution to grow wholesale division year on year

Job Requirements:

  • Focused on sales and desire to be the best at what you do. You are motivated by sales and building a brand, keeping up with the latest retail and consumer trends
  • Have 5+ years of wholesale experience with consumer products in beauty with experience selling into key accounts
    Have at least 2 years of experience in leading a sales team
    Have successfully sold in international markets to retailers and distributors
  • Trustworthy, collaborative and results-oriented leader, business partner and change agent who can lead through influence and who possesses professional maturity and industry credibility
  • Clean beauty enthusiast and has current knowledge about trending brands, products, and attuned to what is happening in the space
  • Comfortable and effective leading through significant ambiguity and able to fully develop and execute a clear end-to-end vision of the wholesale channel
  • Entrepreneurial spirit that can collaborate on ideas and initiatives outside specific job function
  • Extrovert who enjoys engaging and inspiring others
  • Asserts own ideas and persuades others in a clear, confident, and composed manner
