Provide leadership and direction for effective and efficient operation for a designated group of stores referred to as a district comprised of 16 - 22 locations. The position of District Director is to deliver KPIs, build and lead great teams, protect the brand, understand the competitive landscape and collaborate with sales team for execution of overall planning, and always remarkable customer service.
> Lead District team to achieve or exceed all KPIs> Ensure that all assigned stores operate within established inventory levels, salary budgets (and other control lines), and gross profit margins to achieve maximum profitability. > Support the Company Vision and Mission and implements the strategies necessary to achieve them. > Schedule routine competitive checks and understand what competitors in the district are doing and how to communicate these findings to AUSA > Accountable for building store sales and gross profits through implementation of corporate merchandising policies, procedures and programs > Communicate regularly with Sales Directors to remain aligned with strategic goals and associate resources > Execution of Division Sales Plan > Maintain high standards of store image ensuring that all stores are clean, well stocked and ready for business > Opportunity Store Identification, Execution of turnaround plan > Project lead for new store openings, remodels, store closings > Ensure that all stores are providing the customer service that meets or exceeds the Company standards and customer expectations. > Support and enforces all Company policies, and local, state and federal laws and regulations. > Support Peapod and online business in stores and District > Follows and reviews tracking studies to identify and address issues or concerns > Motivate and inspire store teams to high performance and fast, fun and friendly service > Partner with HRM to build talent and support MD process > Plan and lead the team to ensure all positions in the district are staffed with exceptional leaders > Staffing & Diversity – Responsible for partnering with HRM to staff the region for all exempt roles > Manage portfolio of associates in partnership with Sales Director and deploy Specialty resources to locations in need of guidance and/or assistance > Ensure Associate Engagement within the District is maintained as a priority within all levels
