The Paid Social Lead is responsible for the development of performance and brand paid social campaigns. The Paid Social Lead will focus on driving the paid social strategy and activating across various platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest. This individual will maintain a broad understanding of the social media space, as well as the latest trends in emerging paid tactics to help inform and optimize the strategy. The candidate will partner with organic social, email, and paid media channel owners, as well as key agencies, to ensure the objectives for the paid social program are met and exceeded. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to be hands on, create efficient procedures and contribute to the success of the marketing team.

Essential Functions:

  • Develops, maintains and executes paid social campaigns for both performance and brand marketing, looking for opportunities across all platforms. Takes a hands-on-keyboard approach to campaign management
  • Develops campaign tactics, manages audiences, analyzes channel data, optimizes the channel, and vets new opportunities
  • Manages paid social budget, with a focus on deploying spend to hit KPIs. Monitors campaign performance, looking for optimization opportunities to achieve goals and maximize results
  • Reports on paid social analytics, making recommendations to optimize based on learnings and consumer insights
  • Partners with other marketing channel owners to develop integrated campaigns that support targeting and segmentation goals as well as the overall digital marketing strategy
  • Partners with digital team to develop creative briefs for campaigns to inform creative strategy and approach. Takes an active test / learn approach to figure out which products, categories, and creatives drive optimal acquisition
  • Identifies emerging social platforms, with a focus on driving continuous paid social growth for the brand
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of hands-on social media marketing experience, including strategic development and execution
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage budget
  • Data driven with experience in segmentation and audience strategy
  • Strong project management skills
  • Discipline to work independently and meet established deadlines with an exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects at a time
  • Strong interpersonal skills, curiosity, positive attitude, drive and collaborative spirit
  • Extremely strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with reporting, tracking, and developing campaign insights
  • Ability to take a hands-on-keyboard approach to manage paid social campaigns in house
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment
