What You'll Do

We are currently seeking a Sales Development Analyst who will work directly with internal and external account and cross-functional teams to analyze and drive sales on Salomon.com.

 

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:                                       

  • Analyze, identify and pursue opportunities to drive sales, market share, and generate new business through a consultative sales approach
  • Effectively generate and analyze POS reporting tools, and communicate actionable trends and sales opportunities
  • Analyze historical data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities to business and recommend strategies to achieve financial goals; conduct hindsight analysis to incorporate learnings into current plans
  • Review total financial plans with Head of Ecommerce to ensure alignment of future financial and product opportunities as well as inventory productivity
  • Recap and analyze actual sales results by product class to plan and forecast in-season business on a weekly, monthly and annual basis
  • Analyze current trends to create markdown strategy
  • Manage style level sales and inventory forecasts in conjunction with Supply Chain partners
  • Assist in the management of the flow of goods through the supply chain by working directly with the planning and supply chain teams
  • Build and maintain great working relationships with the account teams and all cross-functional departments within Salomon
  • Support Head of Ecom directly in:
    • Planning assortments and identifying opportunities
    • Generating and managing accurate item level demand forecasts
    • Effectively managing order book (including SAP contract reservation orders) to maximize use of available supply and reduce cancellations, chargebacks, etc.
    • Flagging risks and opportunities vs. contract reservations and GRM demand plans
    • Preparing sales forecasts
    • Open to buy process and class level forecasts
  • Assist with additional sales operations responsibilities as assigned

What We're Looking For

This role requires a bachelor's degree in Business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.  We are looking for a candidate with 3 years of experience in retail planning/ ecommerce environment.

 

Other qualifications include:

  • Familiarity with merchandise management systems and retail planning/forecasting software
  • PC proficient with working knowledge of Excel including writing formulas
  • Strong understanding of retail math including intricacies of open to buy, inventory turnover and gross margin
  • Experience in tools like SAP, AFO, Power BI is preferred.
  • Experience in a wholesale apparel or footwear organization is preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically with advanced Excel functions, including PowerPivot and advanced formulas.
  • Time management: Ability to prioritize and deliver key responsibilities on time
