Senior Director of Demand Generation Marketing

This position is eligible for remote work. Currently we can hire employees in the following states: California, Connecticut, Kansas, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin, Wyoming. This role will have occasional on site expectations.

Broad responsibility for managing marketing teams, budgets, strategies, and tactics associated with social marketing, media advertising and influencer programs.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Develops integrated marketing campaigns that tie together brand, social, influencer outreach and consumer media relations.
  • Oversees paid social including Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, TikTok, and other emerging channels.  Experienced in driving data driven results.
  • Oversees earned social including Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok and other emerging channels.
  • Oversees social listening and social community engagement through storytelling that resonates with our shoppers.
  • Collaborates with the brand strategy and customer insights team and the creative & content team to launch integrated marketing campaigns that adhere to our brand guidelines.
  • Oversees brand advertising in linear TV, CTV, direct mail, video ads (YouTube, programmatic and dynamic video), audio streaming, OOH/DOOH, and other non-paid search advertising channels.
  • Oversees brand advertising that drives brand awareness and consideration.
  • Develops and optimizes campaigns using 1st party and 3rd party audience segmentations and targeting, brand lift studies, campaign incrementality studies, etc.
  • Oversees influencer outreach and other ambassadorship partnerships.   Experienced in scalable outreach programs that drives engagement.
  • Collaborates with public relations on consumer media outreach to maximize social amplifications.
  • Develops sales forecasts and related marketing spend plans.
  • Measures, tests, analyzes, and reports campaign performance, while remaining adaptive to quickly changing business and market conditions.
  • Optimizes the marketing mix and spend across channels of responsibility to maximize sales and brand awareness, while minimizing cost.
  • Negotiates with media partners to establish advantageous contract positions.
  • Manages relationships with agency providers and third-party vendors, consultants, freelance workers, and other suppliers.  Negotiates and manages agreements and contacts.
  • Develops, coaches and manages a high-performing team across paid/earned social, brand advertising, influencer outreach and social listening.
  • Follows prescribed legal guidelines and requirements.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience:

Preferably, twelve years of marketing experience, and ideally retail / ecommerce experience, including ten years in a leadership role developing strategic marketing plans designed to create and manage customer demand and awareness.

Significant experience developing strategic marketing plans designed to create and maximize customer demand and awareness, ideally with experience in retail ecommerce.  Must have knowledge and experience with display ecosystems (DSPs, SSPs, Ad Exchanges, etc.).  Must have knowledge of social media platforms (FB, IG, Snapchat, etc.).  Must demonstrate knowledge of traditional marketing formats (TV, Billboards, Sponsorships, etc), plus demonstrated experience in streaming TV and other digital video formats. Must demonstrate a working knowledge of other marketing channels to ensure collaboration and cross-channel effectiveness.  Must ensure that content quality is measured and evaluated using research and data to ensure content effectiveness.  Must have proven ability to collaborate with others to understand and complete project goals.  Must have excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communications skills and be able to professionally interact with employees at all levels of the company.  Must have excellent time management and decision-making skills and be able to prioritize and organize tasks and projects.  Must have the ability to multi-task, work independently, meet deadlines, and be proactive.  Must have highly developed and creative problem-solving and project management skills.  Must have the ability to adapt and optimize quickly to changing business and market conditions.

Education/ Licensing/Certification:

Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or a related field or any combination of education and/or experience based on the table above is required.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires you to sit, stand and perform general office functions. You may also be required to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Bending, stooping and reaching are also frequently required.
