This role will ensure our Visual Merchandising strategy for the West Coast is inclusive of all communities across race, ethnicity, gender, and sexual orientation.

The Visual Merchandising Specialist will seamlessly implement and uphold the visual merchandising standards and principles across the West Coast of America. They will oversee the everyday experience within their portfolio of stores and develop an understanding of each signature and department store’s commercial needs and design constraints and respond to each unique environment by drawing on our navigation and merchandising principles.

The Visual Merchandising Specialist will be responsible for communicating information that is critical to the success of the visual merchandising displays and provide training and feedback to the teams, ensuring the Aesop standards are consistently maintained across the stores in their area. The Visual Merchandising Specialist will work with the Regional Visual Merchandising Manager to evaluate and discuss global guidelines and market needs. They will follow the guidelines as provided by the Global Head Office, interpreting them locally in each location.


  • 3-5 years of experience working in a corporate position within the areas of visual merchandising, creative project coordination, creative project services, and three-dimensional design

  •  Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office (PPT, Excel)

  • Preferred experience leading visuals and project coordination for multilocation campaign roll-outs

  • Experience building out project timelines and milestones while engaging and gaining approval from all necessary stakeholders

  • Strong attention to detail, design aesthetic and excellent organizational skills

  • Understanding and appreciation of Aesop’s visual culture and brand aesthetic
