As VP of Digital, you will lead our global e-commerce business, and our #1 store to deliver a customer experience that brings our brand to life across mobile, desktop and stores. You will influence and optimize our e-commerce platform, thoughtfully integrating stories that bring the brand to life online, increase conversion, and ensure a frictionless brand experience.

You are the digital expert and meaningfully contribute to the overall strategic vision for how this critical channel will set us apart from our competitors. You will lead and inspire a team of digital merchants, producers, strategists, and site performance analysts to ensure we hit our digital goals and can pivot quickly when we need to.

You will grow our sales and profit for Banana Republic’s online business and lead the e-commerce strategy by developing, communicating, and driving initiatives that will help the brand meet and exceed our financial goals and customer expectations. This role is critical in driving results with continuous innovation to create a world-class e-Commerce experience by identifying high impact digital solutions. You will strategically leverage and maximize our competitive advantage; fuel forward thinking and relentlessly hunt new sources of growth.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • P&L Ownership: Accountable for delivering annual sales and profit targets for a large proportion of the total brand’s business.
  • Participates in key decisions as both a member of the executive leadership team and the Gap Inc. central digital team to ensure online/digital best practices are in place.
  • Ensures our online experience is constantly evolving to meet our customer’s needs and biggest business opportunities.
  • Collaborates with enterprise digital team to develop key digital experiences and potential UX tests for consideration and prioritization.
  • Ensure product news and big ideas are translated into an exciting customer site experience with a focus on storytelling through our digital capabilities.
  • Provide clear direction for seasonal product investments to ensure that smart risks are being taken and that financial targets are met.
  • Predict and capitalize on business opportunities and risks in-season through utilizing sales performance and marketplace information.
  • Leads, directs, and develops the e-commerce team composed of multiple functions.

WHO YOU ARE

  • E-commerce Leadership: 10+ years e-commerce background with an understanding of how to drive results in retail.
  • Business Drivers Leadership: Highly developed understanding of e-commerce business drivers impacting top and bottom line, as well at the ability to interpret web analytics to implement/drive strategy.
  • P&L Leadership: Proven track record of leading business strategy, commercial planning, and driving results
  • Team Leadership: Deep experience leading cross-functional teams of technical and non-technical experts to drive a common vision.
  • Personal Leadership: Demonstrated executive presence, ability to navigate complexity, work with creative and technical teams, and collaborate across a senior leadership team.
  • Change Leadership: Experience leading through significant change & transformation to move on organization forward in a financially responsible way.
