Want to help us transform the travel experience? Away is seeking a seasoned brand leader with experience developing transformational brand strategies within a consumer-first omnichannel company. This leader owns the expression of the brand through community engagement, culture and external experiences. They will have proven success driving revenue and brand awareness through consumer activation, social media, brand marketing, partnerships, retail, digital, community, event and experiential initiatives.
The successful candidate will be an entrepreneurial, strategic and business-oriented creative leader. This individual will be a bridge between business and creative. They will have a progressive approach to brand, with fresh ideas on influencer, social, and the role of community in driving the business. This leader will continually innovate, with a strong bias for action, continually seeking to drive value for the consumer. They will have an authentic passion for the brand, and an inherent connection to the Away belief, mission, vision and purpose.
The vice president, brand will have experience building and inspiring brand teams that deliver extraordinary results. They will have an ability to attract and retain top-tier talent with the leadership skills to excel at continued hiring, mentorship and development. What You'll Do
Brand Marketing Leadership
- Demonstrated experience building highly effective and engaging integrated brand strategies across all customer touchpoints that drive awareness, change perception, and create a deeper emotional connection.
Tech-Enabled Consumer Digital Experience
- Experience building a brand strategy within a customer-first, omnicommerce business.
Entrepreneurial
- Track record of successfully operating independently to achieve critical business goals. Skilled at driving projects and producing results in a fast-paced environment.
Proven Team Leader
- Experience building and leading multifaceted marketing teams of relevant scale across all branding and content marketing functions.
Who You Are
- You have a minimum of 12 years experience leading brand marketing with at least some of that experience at a retail company
- You're a creative thinker and have an innate ability to understand what inspires customers
- You’re able to conceptualize innovative ideas that push boundaries while supporting company goals
- You can prioritize and manage against multiple competing initiatives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while delivering outstanding results
- You're able to flex between executive-level strategic thinking and hands-on doing at a moment's notice
- You’re a team player with a "no task is too small" attitude
- You enjoy working in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
- You’re passionate about transforming travel (but that’s a given!)
- You can show proof of COVID-19 vaccination and adherence to HQ COVID office policies using a secure platform that verifies vaccination status without sharing private health information, within 30 days of hire
