We are constantly on a mission to add smart, innovative and fun-loving team members, and are looking for a VP of E-commerce to come join our New York based headquarters.

The VP of E-commerce will lead and optimize Tommy John’s digital transformation in order to maximize the brand’s e-commerce growth in alignment with the overall business strategy, develop a best in class digital ecosystem that integrates an industry leading site experience, seamless omni-channel customer experience, meaningful use of personalization, loyalty proposition and content strategy, manage and continue to drive growth for DTC and Amazon channels, and manage e-commerce P&L responsibilities. This individual will oversee a team responsible for the various aspects of the on-site customer journey including Product Management, UX/UI, Site Analytics, Content Planning, and Site Merchandising. They will partner closely with the executive and cross-functional leadership teams on all e-commerce related projects. The ideal candidate is a resourceful, confident leader with a demonstrated history in defining and executing superior digital experiences, an effective communicator with ability to deliver technical concepts to a variety of audiences with varying skills sets, and a strategic thinker with a positive attitude and strong change management skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Optimize and drive Tommy John e-commerce strategy in alignment with long-range plan and strategic priorities to drive revenue and increase market share
  • Leverage customer insights and constantly monitor the competitive landscape and market conditions to identify opportunities, issues, and risks in order to recommend new strategies
  • Oversee Product Management, UX/UI, Site Analytics, Content Planning, and Site Merchandising and ensure effective momentum of e-commerce roadmap
  • Lead analytics team to understand user behavior across all digital channels to help improve site engagement and increase conversion of key metrics
  • Build cross-functional relationships and ensure alignment across e-commerce initiatives
  • Work closely with creative team on content generation in telling the Tommy John story and maximizing returns through testing, site optimization, and improving site customer experience and brand proposition
  • Manage + drive omni-channel strategy for all DTC experiences as well as all third-party e-commerce business (Amazon)
  • Full P&L responsibility for e-commerce budget
  • Develop and implement KPIs for monitoring and evaluating business performance in partnership with finance
  • Ongoing analysis and evaluation of the effectiveness of the Tommy John website sales, methods, costs and results
  • Make data and mission driven decisions and provide ROI analysis to make recommendations to increase sales and drive a premium brand experience

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field
  • 15 years of relevant business leadership experience and at least 8-10 years of experience leading high-performance e-commerce/site experience teams preferably in a retail driven environment
  • Proven track record in managing full P&L of strong e-commerce or omnichannel business with strong growth trajectory
  • Highly entrepreneurial with extensive knowledge of the components of a profitable e-commerce business, including digital marketing, site experience, analytics, customer insights, content, sit merchandising and customer journey
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, understanding the different omni-channel needs of the business and managing expectations
  • Exceptional communication, project & change management skills
