Beekman 1802 is searching for a vice president of social! The vice president of social is accountable for achieving key performance indicators that drive awareness and support broad-sweeping company goals. This person will be a part of a highly efficient leadership team that's competitive, kind and driven. We're a small team with big goals, and we want you to help us achieve them.

This position can be fully remote.

Reporting to our chief marketing officer, the vice president of social will rethink and grow our social presence and community. We're looking for someone who can accelerate our community growth and develop and implement a cohesive cross-platform social and influencer strategy. You'll have ideally built a world-class social presence for another brand and are passionate about the beauty/skincare space. You'll be ready to be accountable for all social and influencers — from planning to measurement — and you thrive knowing the impact of social on brand awareness and sales. This person should be a jack of all social trades.

Job Requirements

  • Seven-plus years experience in social media, influencer relations, and paid media for a consumer brand (in-house or agency), ideally within the beauty/skincare space
  • Five-plus years leading and mentoring a team
  • Proven experience in developing and executing a cohesive social strategy that led to strong growth and engagement of a brand social community across multiple social platforms.
  • Expert in social and digital landscape across all platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, Snapchat, etc.
  • Proven experience building and launching an influencer or affiliate program that led to high engagement and clear understanding of how influencer marketing drives sales.
  • Experience effectively managing resources and budgets — you know how to optimize your resources to achieve the best results.
  • Highly KPI driven with strong analytics skills
  • Ability to work with Marketing, Creative, Executive Team to develop big picture strategy to grow the Beekman 1802 brand love.
  • Creative skills to develop new content and out-of-the-box thinking a must
  • Ability to be resourceful and scrappy while working within brand guidelines to produce high-quality in-house content.
  • Be a creative problem-solver and strategic thinker with an ability to understand and leverage detail-oriented and analytical issues.
  • Experience with social and influencer tools like NetBase, Rival IQ, and Traackr

Position Description

  • Lead the vision, ideation, analysis and execution of Beekman’s social media strategy to drive brand awareness, engagement and sales.
  • Drive accelerated growth on existing social media channels and determine the optimal mix of new and existing platform launch strategies.
  • Build short- and long-term vision for influencer or affiliate program that aggressively and sustainably grows the Beekman 1802 community, overall brand awareness, and drives sales to retailer partners as well as direct-to-consumer.
  • Ensure our social media strategy aligns with our brand values and actively promote corporate social responsibility through social.
  • Build brand advocacy on organic social channels focusing on best-in-class community management.
  • Find innovative ways to grow the Beekman 1802 community.
  • Develop content and campaign strategies to breakthrough that are new, better and different to compete with total skincare social landscape.
  • Bring a strong understanding of the marketing funnel and apply your expertise across Beekman 1802’s content strategy, influencers and paid ads.
  • Work hand-in-hand with brand marketing and creative to develop compelling and engaging brand assets and storytelling to drive new launches, support core hero products, and bring brand storytelling to life.
  • Work across Marketing, PR, Creative, Retailer, D-to-C, and Education departments to ensure that social strategy is aligned with brand priorities.
  • Create “of the moment” (“at the speed of culture”) content to complement pre-planned content. Have a pulse on macro and micro trends and call them out.
  • Develop standards, expertise and best practices within social to inform and scale across all marketing and channel platforms.
  • Manage monthly and quarterly analytics reporting process inclusive of retailer, global, marketing campaign, influencer social media results and provide insights, recommendations, and track against KPIs.
  • Build upon our social analytics platform.
  • Survey competitive landscape to share insights and trends to create data-driven content.
  • Define goals and KPIs for social platforms, ensuring they're being met and scaled.
  • Manage all social budgets ensuring we optimize and spend wisely (bring in new partners as necessary), and find efficiencies to reinvest in media.
  • Understand Beekman 1802's unique brand positioning and stay true to brand equity through all social content.
  • Be at the forefront of what's happening in the space and propose new platforms to enter and be first to market.
  • Constantly propose fresh creative ideas to grow the Beekman neighborhood while analyzing data and consumer trends to identify relevant opportunities that challenge the status quo.
  • Serve as a thought leader in social media and share best practices, general guidance, and the implications of platform updates with broader teams.
  • Lead social media community team, influencer, organic content, etc.
