One of the paradigms now being popularized is that diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives are not beneficial for organizations or businesses. “So not true,” said Gina Drosos, former CEO of Signet Jewelers, on stage at the 2025 Women in Retail Leadership Summit, held April 28-30 on Amelia Island, FL.
In this clip from her keynote address, Drosos shares why she believes diversity is critically important to a company’s success, especially in leadership ranks. Diverse teams enable organizations to see 360 degrees, anticipate change, pivot and position themselves for success, noted Drosos.
“DEI is not a HR concept that should be thwarted and tamped down,” Drosos told the audience. “It’s one of the most important and fundamental business strategies that a company can have to ensure that it can transform and that it’s ready for times of change.”
