During a keynote presentation last month at the Women in Retail Leadership Summit in Miami, Cindy Solomon, founder, CEO and president of The Courageous Leadership Institute, shared that after leaving corporate America she made it her mission to find out why women are still being left behind when it comes to work. Solomon vowed to what she could to make progress on the issue. When she sat down to analyze the issue and understand the difference between mediocre leadership and great leadership, one word kept coming up: courage.
