While recognizing women and their great accomplishments is part of Women in Retail Leadership Circle’s DNA, we’re excited to join the rest of the world in recognizing International Women’s Day (IWD) today, March 8.

This global day celebrates the “social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women” around the world, according to the International Women’s Day website. In addition, each year IWD focuses on a campaign theme, and this year’s theme is #EmbraceEquity. It was designed to express why equal opportunities aren’t enough. People start from different places, so true inclusion and belonging requires equitable action. You can read more about the theme here.

Women in Retail Leadership Circle (WIRLC) will also be celebrating women in our pavilion at Shoptalk, where attendees can hear inspiring women leaders discuss their career journeys and secrets to success in engaging chats that will take place during breaks in Shoptalk’s content program. The pavilion will be featured on Shoptalk’s show floor (booth number 960) on Mon., March 27 and Tues., March 28.
