Shanon Sallis, a Women in Retail Leadership Circle (WIRLC) member and a long-time executive at Signet Jewelers, was named divisional vice president of Zales last week, the company said in a press release. Zales, one of the largest jewelry brands in the U.S., is one of Signet Jewelers’ 11 banners.

Sallis was most recently the regional vice president of Jared, another one of Signet’s banners. As divisional vice president of Zales, Sallis will work closely with Kecia Caffie, Zales’ president, to lead the Zales retail team in inspiring love with their customers through best-in-class customer experiences. Sallis will also oversee Zales’ operations, including sales, strategy, talent development, and team member experience.

Sallis has been with Signet for 23 years. She began her career at another Signet banner, KAY, and has worked on the Jared leadership team the past 10 years. She has also served as co-chair of Signet’s Women’s Business Resource Group for the past two years, helping to grow membership tenfold by building community and a lineup of relevant and engaging events.

Sallis is also the Signet representative for the company’s corporate partnership with Women in Retail.

“As the announcement highlights, it is from my experience with Women in Retail that helped build the relationships, offered the career development, and shared the retail insights that prepared me for this next step,” Sallis shared in an email to Women in Retail.

“I am so thankful for the past 10 years with Jared the Galleria of Jewelry. It has been an honor to work alongside such a talented, innovative, and thriving team. Excited and grateful for this bold new chapter in my Signet story!” she wrote in a LinkedIn post announcing her new position.
