Misti Blasko, a Women in Retail Leadership Circle advisory board member, has been named CEO of the female-led apparel and fashion brand Able, the company announced earlier this month. Blasko is the company’s first female CEO. She most recently served as president of North America for AllSaints, and has held senior leadership roles at other retailers and brands including True Religion Brand Jeans, John Varvatos, BCBG, and David’s Bridal.

Able founder Barret Ward said the company has been “looking for the right leader to take us to the next level. Between her extensive experience in leadership and her passion for uplifting women, we are confident that Able’s mission remains intact,” Ward said in a press release.

Blasko will move from Los Angeles to Nashville, where Able is based.

“As a child, I grew up in a rural town just west of the Sierra Nevadas,” noted Blasko. “What I love about Nashville is its diverse culture, and the hum of the city surrounded by this picturesque countryside. To me, it feels like home.”

Able was founded in 2010 as a casual style for conscious women. Its products include designed leather goods, jewelry, clothing, and shoes.
