Stephanie Pugliese, a Women in Retail Leadership Circle (WIRLC) advisory board member, was named to to the board of American Eagle Outfitters last week.

Pugliese most recently served as president of the Americas at Under Armour from 2019-2023. Prior to that, she led Duluth Holdings through its initial public offering in 2015. She has three decades of experience in the retail industry, with a career spanning numerous leadership positions, including at Lands’ End and Ann Inc.

In addition to serving on Women in Retail’s board, Pugliese also serves as an independent board member of Fortune Brands Innovations and Cooper’s Hawk Winery and Restaurants.

Jay Schottenstein, AEO’s executive chairman of the board and CEO, called Pugliese a proven strategist, operator and advisor in a press release announcing her appointment.

Her passion for innovation and ability to build highly-successful consumer-centric omni-channel brands will be invaluable as we execute on our powering profitable growth plan and driving long-term shareholder returns,” he said.
