As we get ready to celebrate Thanksgiving, I’ve been reflecting on just how much I have to be grateful for. At the top of the list are several things, including my wonderful family; a fun, inspiring work environment; incredible friends and colleagues across the retail industry; and a group of girlfriends who still make me laugh until I cry!
I’m also deeply thankful for the wonderful people who make the Women in Retail Leadership Circle (WIRLC) such a meaningful and supportive community. That includes:
-
our Inner Circle newsletter subscribers for your loyalty, enthusiasm, and thoughtful content ideas;
-
our members, including our individual members, corporate partner members, consultant members, academic and nonprofit members, and industry partner members. Your inspiring stories, honesty and vulnerability make every peer call, article and conversation richer;
-
our WIRLC board of advisors, who consistently share their time, wisdom and support;
-
the many speakers, coaches and moderators who have brought so much insight to our events over the years;
-
our sponsor partners, who understand and champion WIRLC’s mission year after year; and
-
the entire WIRLC team, whom I’m so grateful to call colleagues and friends.
While I always look forward to Thanksgiving, this year feels a bit different. With so many people around the world facing hardships, it feels especially important to lean into gratitude — and to use this moment as an opportunity to think about how we can support those who may be struggling.
How are you spending Thanksgiving this year? I’d truly love to hear from you at mcampanelli@napco.com.
Wishing you and your loved ones a warm, joyful, and meaningful Thanksgiving.
