A panel of female retail executives took the stage to share their career journeys, lessons and advice during the 2024 Women in Retail On the Road: Columbus event on Sept. 24.
The panel discussion featured Laura Davis, president, DSW; Kat DePizzo, president, Justice Design Lab; Nicci Hicks, founder, Pivot; and moderator Kimberly Lee Minor, CEO, Women of Color Retail Alliance (WOCRA).
In this clip from the session, Davis, DePizzo, and Hicks each share the crucial pivots they have made in their careers that led them down a new path in their professional journeys.
As Lee Minor summarized, to pivot successfully “you have to be intentional, you have to have purpose in everything you do … and you need to be a little crazy.”
