Overstock.com, the online retailer of home furnishings and decor, named Angela Hsu its new chief marketing officer earlier this month.

Hsu, a Women in Retail Leadership Circle member, is a seasoned marketer with more than 25 years of experience in building successful digital, e-commerce, social media and traditional marketing strategies. She previously served as the senior vice president of marketing and e-commerce at Lamps Plus. She spent 19 years at Lamps Plus in various leadership roles.

In her new role at Overstock, Hsu oversees the company’s marketing efforts, including go-to-market strategy, customer acquisition and retention, customer insights, marketing communications, branding, and marketing technologies.

“I’m humbled by the opportunity to collaborate with a group of incredibly talented marketers and a winning executive leadership team,” Hsu said in announcing her new position on LinkedIn. “I look forward to shaping the way we create dream homes for all and delivering sustainable, profitable market share growth.”

Dave Nielsen, Overstock’s president, said on LinkedIn that he was excited to have Hsu’s marketing expertise “guide us as we carry out our vision of creating dream homes for all.”

Hsu holds a MBA in finance from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of California, Irvine. She’s fluent in English, Chinese and Taiwanese. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, who she encourages in her passion for technology, robotics and entrepreneurship.
