Rachel Moore is SVP, Incubation & Emerging Payments. She joined the company on November 14, 2022. She and her team are responsible for driving the incubation agenda to accelerate discovery of new potential products, distribution channels and capabilities aligned to key trends we know will impact our industry. Core to this is how we launch and test into MVPs to learn in a way that allows the business to more quickly make informed decisions around whether to scale based on calculated metrics and structed testing aligned to core objectives. In January 2024, her scope expanded to include Emerging Payments and optimizing our digital wallets and virtual card strategies to ensure our customers can seamlessly pay on Synchrony.
Rachel has over 20 years of experience in financial services, having started with American Express in 2003 where she held several roles primarily in Cards new product development. Here she solved for both the optimal value equation for the customer and learned how to execute within a matrixed environment. After 8+ years, she went to Citi where she had P&L responsibility for two Card portfolios – ThankYou Premier and AAdvantage Platinum. In this capacity, she participated in a Citi Ventures program called D10X where she founded an internal start-up to help people manage their debt and pitched to an internal growth board for progressive funding as the product concept matured. As a result, this turned into a full-time position where she led a team of internal start-up founders, launching stand-alone apps to test into the viability of these new concepts. After Citi, Rachel joined JPMorgan Chase as the Head of the Branch Innovation Lab where she and her team tested into new and emerging technologies to uncover the potential for the branch environment.
Rachel earned a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and currently resides in Pelham, NY with her husband and two children, Reid (13) and Nate (11). In her free time, she is trying to keep up with her children on their mountain bikes and has travelled to Bentonville, AR and Sedona, AZ with her family to attempt to do so.
