Mindfulness — and being a more mindful leader — has been on my mind lately. I’ve been reading a lot about it, and it seems like an important skill to have. After all, studies show that developing mindfulness and leading with empathy can truly transform your impact and ability as a leader. Simply put, mindful managers make better, more effective leaders who naturally engage their employees for consistently excellent outcomes.

Sounds pretty great, doesn’t it?

That’s why Women in Retail Leadership Circle and its sister brand, Women Leading Travel & Hospitality, have decided to make becoming a more mindful leader the focus of our first Virtual Workshop of the year. It just made sense to us!

The Virtual Workshop, aptly titled “Becoming a More Mindful Leader,” will take place on Wed., Feb. 15 at 12 p.m. ET. Led by leadership coach and “The Positive Effect” author April Sabral, attendees will learn practical ways to manage burnout and reduce stress in themselves and their teams. Through a tried-and-true mindfulness methodology, April will help attendees understand how their leadership influences those around them; teach attendees how to enhance their awareness and intentionality when communicating; and remove obstacles that cause frustration from their teams.

If you’re interested in joining this Virtual Workshop, please register here. This interactive event is free for Women in Retail Leadership Circle members! Make sure you’re logged into your Women in Retail profile when registering. If you would like to join the Virtual Workshop as a nonmember, the cost is $79.

And, of course, if you would like to take advantage of these types of opportunities, we would love for you to become a member of Women in Retail Leadership Circle!

I hope to “see” you all online on Feb. 15!
