As Women in Retail Leadership Circle (WIRLC) celebrates its 10th anniversary, we are honoring this milestone by providing our current members with the opportunity to apply for a position on our advisory board.

Serving on the advisory board is a unique chance to help shape the future of WIRLC and contribute to the continued growth of our vibrant community. Your insights will directly influence the growth and development of the organization, making a lasting impact on our community of women leaders. 

In addition, serving on the advisory board connects you with an influential group of industry leaders. You’ll have the opportunity to build relationships with peer-level professionals, share knowledge, and collaborate on innovative ideas that drive the industry forward. It’s also an opportunity for your own career growth — e.g., enjoy complimentary registration to the annual Women in Retail Leadership Summit and other WIRLC events during your term, mentor new WIRLC members, lead networking events, and more. Simply put, you’ll be part of a supportive network that empowers women to reach their highest potential. 

Here is an overview of advisory board member responsibilities:

  • Two-year term with complimentary membership during tenure
  • Attend quarterly virtual advisory board meetings (minimum three out of four)
  • Attend the annual Women in Retail Leadership Summit and at least one additional full- or half-day WIRLC event each year (complimentary registration)
  • Promote WIRLC membership to qualified colleagues and your professional network
  • Participate in new member onboarding activities, including quarterly welcome calls and outreach
  • Actively promote WIRLC events and initiatives via social media
  • Facilitate connections with potential industry sponsors for WIRLC events
  • Provide thought leadership to support the growth and success of WIRLC
