Cristina Ceresoli, a Women in Retail Leadership Circle board member, was named the chief marketing officer of the rapidly growing women’s fashion brand Altar’d State on April 21.

Ceresoli most recently served as the vice president of marketing at Soma, part of the Chico’s FAS family of brands.

“I’m looking forward to applying my omnichannel experience to grow brand awareness and sales at Altar’d State,” Ceresoli said in a press release. “Working for a purpose-driven company with strong female leaders like [Arula Brand President] Dana (Seguin) and [Vow’d Senior Vice President] Nicole (Sewall) is a dream come true.”

Ceresoli will also serve as the chief marketing officer for AS Revival, Altar’d State’s athleisure brand, and the Tullaby baby shop.

“We’re delighted to welcome Cristina as our new CMO,” said Aaron Walters, chairman and CEO of Altar’d State. “Her industry experience and vision will help drive our continued success across brands.”

Ceresoli also previously held positions at Express, Victoria’s Secret, Abercrombie & Fitch, and Sapient Corporation, and has served as an adjunct professor at Parsons School of Design.

Ceresoli has been a board member of Women in Retail Leadership Circle since January 2021.
