Dara Meath, a Women in Retail Leadership Circle member, has been named senior vice president and chief technology officer of Build-A-Bear Workshop, the company announced Jan. 9.

Meath previously served as the divisional chief information officer at Conair, where she provided strategic direction and tactical execution guidance for global information technology (IT) operations as well as strategic planning of IT systems and process redesign intended to deliver customer-centric, cost-efficient enterprise solutions. Prior to working at Conair, Meath was the vice president of information technology at The Camuto Group.

At Build-A-Bear Workshop, Meath will report to the chief financial officer. She will lead Build-A-Bear’s technology team and work closely with key partners to support the company’s initiatives underlying its ongoing digital transformation.

“I’m extremely excited to join an (innovative) company that brings smiles to so many in the world!” Meath said in a LinkedIn post announcing her new position. “Look for updates as we take digital transformation to the next level!”

Meath is also a founding member and advisory board member of Women Leaders in Data and AI. She also serves on Total Retail’s advisory board.
