When a change takes place in your life, whether it’s deliberate or unforeseen, we’re often left searching to find our path to success again. We seek to put things back in order — or even make them better than they were before the change.

Change is constant and we’re constantly navigating it. As we do, we need to understand our approach and get in touch with our emotions in the mix. As we journey, it’s important to not discount our value as we search for what works or as we adjust our hopes that we will find even more success. The cycle can feel like guesswork and place us out of our comfort zone. When we know what works and is tried and true, we can spin in a comfort zone until it stops working. But when we’re out of our comfort zone, how do we navigate?

It’s time to start a new dialogue about change and how we navigate and process change. It’s time to understand that to truly find success, we must personally align our heart, truths and our energy.

Remove the Guesswork With the 10 Points of Change

In my new book, “The Change Guidebook,” which is a masterclass in change management, I share “The 10 Points of Change.” These points are designed to help you make changes intentionally or adjust to any unforeseen circumstances in a way that fosters your best success. The points will also help you align your heart, truths and energy. (Check out my website for more information about these points, as well as a free assessment that I use in my everyday life.) Everything we do cultivates and creates our amazing life. Therefore, it’s really time to start asking yourself the following question: What am I choosing and how am I spending my time?

As you learn more and more about change, think of it as becoming part of your best life toolbox. The more you know, the better equipped you are to navigate. You know the process and can apply it as well as your most well-traveled route to the grocery store. I realize I can’t write another book here, but would like to leave you with three of my favorite success tips from the book. (There are 40 tips in the book.) They include:

Success Tip No. 1: Be Brave and Think With Your Heart

Your heart is your main operational center, but many people ignore their heart because they’re overthinking. Too much brain-based thinking creates a situation where you lose sight of thinking with your heart. Please take a moment with me to pause and place your hands over your heart and say, “I am brave. I think with my heart.” I do this pause practice and affirmation each morningas well as multiple times during the day.

Success Tip No. 21: Ask For Help When You Need It

Ask for help when you need it, especially if it’s financial, medical or emotional. People equate the words, “I need help” with “I’ve failed” or “I suck” or “I’m less than” or “I don’t know what I am doing.” But here’s what we forget in these moments. First, we all have them. Second, we all have them, and third, yes, we all have them. From changing that flat tire to that awesome coach who taught you how to work with a new employee, we all need support whether we admit it or not.

Success Tip No. 28: Instead of Asking, “What’s in it for Me?” Ask, “What’s in it for Us?”

Together we create the energy needed for change. Your positive energy fuels humanity, and we can create waves of peace. Also, each person you meet teaches you something, and you’ll also teach them something. You create change. We create change, and how you treat people tells all. Each day is filled with more moments to love one another and opportunities to pay closer attention to one another. We all need one another.

I hope this has helped you take even one more step toward removing the fear and uncertainty that comes with change. Your attitude toward change and the knowledge you have to navigate it will ultimately help you be your best, most successful YOU!
