Hello from sunny and hot Dallas! Our team has descended upon the Lone Star State for our first Women in Retail: On the Road event of 2023! Our “On the Road” events are regional, day-long gatherings that enable executive women in leadership positions at retail companies the opportunity to network, learn from each other, and improve business processes.

We are gearing up to hear some amazing content from the following fabulous speakers:

  • Sharonda Weatherspoon, the head of retail operations, client development and transformation NA retail at Ralph Lauren, will be discussing the power of perseverance. She will be taking us on a journey through her retail career, sharing the challenges faced along the way and how she  overcame them thanks to a healthy dose of grit, grace, gratitude, and of course, perseverance.
  • Wanda Gierhart Fearing, the executive vice president and chief marketing and content officer for Cinemark Holdings, will discuss her career journey during a fireside chat that will be livestreamed on Women in Retail’s LinkedIn page during the session and released on our Women in Retail Talks podcast channel after the event!   • Iris Diaz, chief marketing officer, Dallas Mavericks; Layla Kasha, chief marketing and new store growth officer, Grocery Outlet; and Ellie Quartel, senior vice president, digital strategy, e-commerce and marketing at Fossil Group, will discuss how they intentionally foster a culture of inclusivity, acceptance and trust among their colleagues during a panel taking place later today that will be moderated by Veronica Torres Hazley, founder of Hey Chica! and CEO of Torres Hazley Enterprise.
