We’re excited to share that the next Women in Retail and Total Retail Virtual Exchange is scheduled for Wed., July 24 at 12 p.m. ET. This complimentary online event features engaging and informative content, including in-depth interviews with leading retail executives on a variety of mission-critical industry topics. These interactive discussions provide valuable insights for audience members.
Joining us for the Virtual Exchange are J. Michael Prince, president and CEO of USPA Global Licensing, the official licensor and broadcaster for the United States Polo Association (USPA), and Steve Dunn, founder and CEO of baby brand Munchkin and the CEO of WHY Brands, Inc. (Munchkin’s parent company).
Prince, who oversees the USPA’s iconic sport-inspired U.S. Polo Assn. brand, will be discussing how the apparel brand is getting into the Olympic buzz, including outfitting polo players from the U.S. and France for the Paris Games. In addition, he’ll examine how the brand has climbed the retail ranks as one of the largest global licensed sports brands in the world, ranking consistently alongside the NFL, MLB, and NBA.
Dunn will share how product innovation has been core to Munchkin’s growth journey from its founding 30 years ago into the $300 million company it is today. In fact, part of every employee’s responsibility is product development, whether they work in accounting, marketing, maintenance or in the warehouse. An employee is rewarded for a new concept that turns into a marketable product, and they get a higher reward if it can be patented, too.
In addition to business strategy insights gleaned from Prince and Dunn, the pair will also share leadership lessons and advice that attendees can incorporate into their own teams and organizations.
