How do we build belonging at work? Feeling like we are connected, supported and respected is a basic human need, and that doesn’t disappear once we walk through the (perhaps virtual) doors of the office. Women in Retail Leadership Circle (WIRLC) knows that today’s leaders are grappling with this challenge. To provide some answers, we’re gathering four leaders who are creating a culture of trust, success and belonging at their organizations to share their insights at our upcoming Dallas On the Road event.
In this panel, attendees will hear from the retail leaders who understand the true importance and value of belonging and are working intentionally to foster a culture of inclusivity, acceptance and trust among their colleagues. Speakers include:
- Layla Kasha, Chief Marketing and New Store Growth Officer, Grocery Outlet (and a Women in Retail member);
- Iris Diaz, Chief Marketing Officer, Dallas Mavericks;
- Ellie Quartel, Senior Vice President, Digital Strategy, E-Commerce and Marketing, Fossil Group;
- Veronica Torres Hazley, Founder, Hey Chica! & CEO, Torres Hazley Enterprise (moderator).
Each of these women have known what great office culture looks like, and what not-so-great office culture looks like. They’ve harnessed their skills leadings teams — even when a pandemic forced them into a world of uncertainty — and learned how to build up other women, encouraged women to be their best selves, and created cultures of belonging through action.
Don’t miss this discussion, as well as tons of other impactful content and personal connections happening at the Women in Retail: On the Road | Dallas event on July 26 at the Adolphus Hotel. Remember, members receive a discounted rate to attend. Not a member? Apply today!
