I settled in to write this while eating a bagel and thinking about how tonight would be the night I get a workout in, aware that by the time I’ve put my two-year-old to bed I’ll have decided a book is a better idea.

But then I learned more about the latest keynote speaker to join the Women in Retail Leadership Summit lineup for next month: Ellen Latham, creator and co-founder of Orangetheory Fitness.

The well-known boutique fitness studio franchise with more than 1,200 studios in all 50 U.S. states and more than 23 countries was started by a single mother having little more than a fitness certification and an internal drive to succeed. An unexpected career setback motivated Latham to open her first Pilates studio in South Florida. There, she created The Ultimate Workout, which quickly became a local phenomenon. Joining the Summit stage in Miami next month (Oct. 11-13), Latham will speak passionately about overcoming life’s inevitable ups and downs, how she grew her business and brand, how she lives an “all-out” life, among other inspiring topics.

As a working mom, committing to an “all-out” life seems the only way to stay sane. If simply reading about Latham’s journey lends inspiration, imagine hearing from her in person! It’s not too late to register for the Women in Retail Leadership Summit.
I can’t wait to see you at the Summit on Oct. 11-13!
