Rosalind “Roz” Johnson, a Women in Retail Leadership Circle advisory board member, was named senior vice president and chief people officer at Build-A-Bear Workshop, the St. Louis-based retailer of teddy bears and other stuffed animals, earlier this month.
Johnson has spent seven years with Build-A-Bear Workshop, most recently serving as senior vice president of store operations and guest experience. She specializes in operations, profit and loss management, and strategic business planning with a proven track record of delivering profitable sales growth through people, product and process.
“This is a great opportunity for me to support the brand and the executive leadership team in our ongoing efforts to optimize our organizational structure; attract and retain talented associates; and lead the elevation and creation of our culture-driven training, development and engagement efforts for our teams across all areas of the organization,” Johnson said in a post on LinkedIn.
Johnson’s experience also includes vice president roles at American Eagle Outfitters and Scrubs & Beyond. She became a member of Women in Retail Leadership Circle in 2020, and joined its advisory board this year.
