Sharon Leite, a Women in Retail Leadership Circle (WIRLC) board member, has taken the helm of OMNI Retail Enterprises, whose brand portfolio includes Bodybuilding.com, Pier 1, and Dressbarn.

OMNI Retail Enterprises announced the appointment of Leite as CEO in a press release last week. Leite most recently served as the CEO of Ideal Image. She has over 25 years of leading consumer and retail businesses in a diverse range of industries, including apparel, consumer packaged goods, health and wellness, and home.

Prior to Ideal Image, Leite was CEO of The Vitamin Shoppe, where she led a successful turnaround, delivering the best performance in the company’s history. Earlier in her career, Leite held executive leadership roles at Godiva Chocolatier, Pier 1 Imports, Bath & Body Works, Gap Inc., and The Walt Disney Company.

In addition to serving on Women in Retail Leadership Circle’s board, she currently serves on the boards of Lovesac and The M. J. Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University.

Raj Gupta, the executive chair of OMNI Retail Enterprises, called Leite the “perfect choice” for CEO.
