Good morning ladies!
There’s something about the sweetness of summer that makes us smile. Here at Women in Retail Leadership Circle (WIRLC), we’re tuning out bad vibes and listening to some of our board members’ favorite podcasts on life, leadership and taking the next steps in your career.
One of our fabulous members (and founding board member!) Laura Hantow, vice president, marketing and e-commerce at Sea Bags, shared some of her favorite podcasts with us the other week. Below are just a few Laura’s top listens:
- Social Media Marketing With Michael Stelzner
- Beyond the To-Do List
- Cut the Crap (The episode’s host — e.g., Seth Godin, Dan Pink, Mark Manson — breaks down a book to its essential nuggets of knowledge and interviews the author. The books usually reviewed are focused on topics such as personal development, business leadership and management, etc.)
- Entrepreneurs On Fire (hosted by John Lee Dumas)
- Optimal Living Daily (along with Optimal Finance Daily and Optimal Business Daily)
- Profit Boss (hosted by Hilary Hendershott)
- The Jordan Harbinger Show
- The Art of Paid Traffic
- Tony Robbins
- Bonus: Women in Retail Talks (OK, OK, this is our shameless plug to listen to some fabulous women in retail talk about leadership, strategy and life advice.)
Do you have a favorite podcast*, book, TED Talk or all the above? Let us know! We would love to feature it in an upcoming issue of the Inner Circle.
* Rumor has it podcasts go well with your morning commute, night-time wind down routine, or with a hammock and an ice tea (or mojito, in our case 😉
Also, in honor of the July 4 holiday, Inner Circle won’t be published next week. We’ll be spending a little R&R with friends and family, maybe a BBQ, and definitely in search of a great fireworks show. You can check out some of our favorite ways to celebrate the Red, White and Blue here. We hope you’ll do the same!
