During a Women in Retail Leadership Days session last month, Perksy, a next-generation consumer insights platform that powers real-time research with everyday people through contextual, in-the-moment mobile research, was crowned the winner of the first ever Retail Tech Startup Challenge.

During this “Shark Tank”-style session, three founders of retail tech startups competed to win the approval of the Leadership Days audience as well as a panel of esteemed judges — along with the chance to be featured in a Women in Retail Talks episode! The session was moderated by Deborah Weinswig, founder and CEO of Coresight Research. The panel of judges included Annette Dunleavy, vice president, performance marketing, QVC and HSN; Erica Geil, vice president, global engineering operations, Groupon; Vanathy Lakshmi, vice president, digital product, Sally Beauty; and Rucha Nanavati, group vice president, information technology, Albertsons.

In this video clip from the session, Nadia Masri, founder and CEO of Perksy, spoke about why she founded the company, as well as what potential challenges the brand’s solution solves for retailers. In addition, the video features the follow-up questions our judges asked of Masri.
