Bringing your baby to work was an unheard of concept for women when Joan Lunden was named co-host of “Good Morning America.” In this video clip, recorded at the 2022 Women in Retail Leadership Summit, Lunden shares the story of how she navigated becoming a mom while working on-air for a national TV show, and in the process became an icon by breaking the taboo around working mothers.
Joan Lunden, journalist, TV host and adjunct professor at Lehigh College of Health, took the stage with her daughter, Jamie Hess, a wellness mentor, creator of @NYCfitfam, and CEO of The Big Ask Method, at the 2022 Women in Retail Leadership Summit, held April 25-27 in Miami.
