Molly McCabe, senior vice president of people success at Ulta Beauty, looks for three qualities in any leader: deep, functional expertise; a collaborative nature; and an enterprise mindset.
In this clip from her interview at the recent Women in Retail On the Road: Chicago event, McCabe delves into her talent acquisition approach at the beauty retailer.
“This [retail] is a fast-paced business. I always tell candidates: If you want your day to be the same over and over again, this isn’t going to be the place for you to work. And for a lot of people, that’s such a great fit for what they want to experience.”
McCabe also touches on Ulta’s expectation for values-based leadership to fit into the retailer’s culture.
