The Bouqs Company, the online floral retailer that delivers flowers and plants fresh from eco-friendly, sustainable farms to doorsteps nationwide, takes community very seriously.

“We’re very committed to increasing awareness in our community across a variety of facets,” said Darcy Cozzetto, chief operating officer of The Bouqs Company, during the December installment of the Women in Retail and Total Retail Virtual Exchange.

For example, during her session, Cozzetto spoke about several community-based campaigns The Bouqs Co. launched in 2020, including:

  • Its “1000 Thank You” campaign, where The Bouqs Co. gave away 1,000 free bouquets to healthcare workers.
  • The development of an exclusive Rainbow Bouq that celebrates love in all its forms. For each bouquet sold in June, the company donated 20 percent of the purchase price to the Los Angeles LGBT Center.
  • A collaboration with Maurice Harris, founder of Los Angeles-based floral studio Bloom & Plume, for The Bouqs Co.’s United with Flowers collection. One-hundred percent of net profits from the sales of the collection was donated to Campaign Zero, supporting its mission to combat police brutality through data-informed policy solutions.

“We’re really proud of what we’ve done,” Cozzetto said.
