During a session of the September installment of the Women in Retail and Total Retail Virtual Exchange, Bea Dixon, co-founder and CEO of The Honey Pot, a seller of natural, plant-derived feminine care products, discussed the challenge of getting investor funding as a startup founder, and more specifically, a Black woman.

In this video clip from the session, Dixon talks about when she knew it was the right time in The Honey Pot’s journey to start raising external funding. In addition, she offers advice for other entrepreneurs that are considering raising money from outside investors for the first time.
