During a Women in Retail and Total Retail Virtual Exchange event last year, Leslie Short, CEO of The Cavu Group, a diversity and inclusion training company, interviewed mother-daughter duo Bahja Johnson, director of customer belonging and co-lead, Color Proud Council at Gap Inc., and Roz Johnson, senior vice president, store operations and guest experience at Build-A-Bear Workshop. The trio had an honest and open exchange about what diversity and inclusion means to them, as well as what leadership needs to do to make a difference. In this video clip from the session, Bahja and Roz discuss the two things they need leadership to know when creating diversity and inclusion programs as well as hiring diverse talent.
