We’re excited to announce that Women in Retail Leadership Circle (WIRLC) is partnering again with CommerceNext to honor a top woman in e-commerce or retail for its CommerceNexty Awards program. The program, which celebrates excellence in e-commerce and digital marketing, features a special award called Women in Retail’s Top Woman of the Year Award. The award recognizes a woman leader in retail and/or e-commerce who has contributed to the community and mentored others to succeed.

The awards will be judged by CommerceNext’s advisory board, a group of 50 e-commerce and retail leaders — including Women in Retail advisory board member Emily Culp — and winners will be announced at CommerceNext 2023, which will take place June 20-21 in New York City. Other CommerceNexty award categories include:

  • Marketing Innovator of the Year
  • Most Impactful Social Responsibility Campaign
  • Best Use of Data or Technology in Marketing
  • Most Effective Brand Storytelling
  • Outstanding New E-Commerce Experience
  • Best Use of a New Channel

Marketing and e-commerce executives who would like to nominate themselves, a client or a colleague can do so by completing this nomination form by April 14. Finalists will be selected on May 4, and voting on the finalists will take place from May 4 to May 24. Winners will be selected based on a combination of votes, with a popular vote contributing 50 percent of the overall score and the votes of CommerceNext’s board of judges contributing the other 50 percent.

This marks the third year WIRLC has partnered with CommerceNext on the Top Woman of the Year Award. In 2021, the recipient was Taryn Rayment, chief marketing officer, FTD. Last year, the recipient was Jennifer Foyle, president and executive creative director, AE & Aerie.
