Loretta Soffe

Loretta Soffe is an author, speaker, and executive & life coach who helps high-achieving women build meaningful careers while cultivating thriving marriages, grounded kids, and lasting success at home and at work.
Her perspective is grounded in decades of real-world leadership and life experience. Loretta spent 24 years at Nordstrom, rising from cashier to Executive Vice President and leading a $2B business at the highest levels of corporate leadership. She knows the pressure, pace, and personal cost of ambition—because she lived it while also building a 25+ year marriage and raising three children in a nontraditional family structure.
After leaving corporate leadership, Loretta founded her own consulting practice, advising CEOs, founders, and investors on consumer-centric growth, brand and product strategy, channel expansion, and organizational design across public and private companies. She also served for several years as an independent board director, working closely with executive teams on governance, leadership effectiveness, and long-term value creation through periods of significant change. In parallel, Loretta served as a Senior Advisor to Boston Consulting Group in its Global Retail Practice, partnering with mid- and large-cap leadership teams on business transformation and growth strategy.
Yet it was through her own reinvention—and the reflection that followed—that Loretta’s most important work emerged.
In 2025, Loretta published her first book, Balance Is Bullshit: Your Roadmap to a Thriving Marriage, Grounded Kids & Career Success, challenging the cultural myth that women must choose between ambition and a meaningful personal life. Her work reframes success around alignment, intentional decision-making, and seasonality—offering women a more sustainable and honest way to lead fully at work while building strong marriages, grounded families, and lives that truly work.
Today, Loretta works with senior leaders, founders, and professional women navigating life transitions, career growth, and leadership development. Through coaching, speaking, and thought leadership, she helps women clarify what matters most, make confident trade-offs, and design lives that support both professional excellence and personal fulfillment.
A sought-after speaker for women’s leadership organizations, executive forums, and corporate audiences, Loretta blends credibility, candor, and warmth to inspire women to redefine success—and lead on their own terms.
