We’re in the midst of our second week of the Women in Retail Leadership Days virtual experience, and we hope you’re enjoying all of the content produced so far. That said, we still have many exciting sessions scheduled for the rest of the week that we hope you’re able to join us for. The theme of this week is Empower! Sessions already hosted this week (all of which are available on-demand via the Leadership Days platform) include a Krav Maga self-defense class that will definitely leave you feeling empowered, as well as an authentic and inspirational keynote with Kat Cole, chief operating officer and president of Focus Brands (parent company of Schlotzsky’s, Carvel, Cinnabon, Moe’s Southwest Grill, McAlister’s Deli, Auntie Anne’s, and Jamba brands).

This evening at 5 p.m. EST we are teaming up with culinary brand Sur La Table for a fun and informative hands-on cooking class! You can download the chef’s packet and shopping list ahead of time so you can follow along from the comfort of your own kitchen while she makes bar snacks and a cocktail. On Thursday, we have a Diversity and Inclusion panel featuring leading industry experts on the matter. Bahja Johnson, director of customer belonging, Gap Inc.; Shawn R. Outler, chief diversity officer, Macy’s Inc.; Samara Tuchband, vice president of merchandising and chairman of diversity and inclusion, Crate and Barrel; and more will have an open and honest discussion about D&I in the retail industry.

Following the D&I panel, we’ll finish off week two of Leadership Days with interactive workshops featuring Women in Retail Leadership Circle-certified coaches that will leave you feeling empowered!
