I hope you’re all doing well right now in this challenging time. We’ve all been adapting to the unusual situation our world is in right now in our personal ways, and while it certainly is a new way of living and working, we are, through resilience and perseverance, getting through it.
I just wanted to take a minute to let you know the staff at the Women in Retail Leadership Circle are working hard to bring you content to help you navigate through the current coronavirus crisis. That content can run the gamut from tips on how to be productive in very unproductive times; how to lead during a type of crisis you’ve never experienced before; or how to stay sane and emotionally safe when you all you want to do is tear your hair out.
We’re experimenting with new digital formats to communicate with you as well. Earlier this week, for example, we launched our first-ever Women in Retail Virtual Lounge, where we livestreamed fireside chats with rock star women in retail about their personal journeys, secrets to success, how they’re handling the current crisis, and more. Speakers included Joelle Grunberg, global brand president, Sperry; Lauri Kien Kotcher, CEO, Hello Products; Emily Culp, CEO, Cover FX; Lisa Gavales, board member, True Religion Jeans, Forever 21, and Bluestem Brands; and Susan F. Wiltsie, partner at Hunton Andrews Kurth. The chats were livestreamed on WIRLC’s Facebook page, and you can view them there at any time. We’ll also be featuring certain chats on our website and in our e-newsletter, Inner Circle. (For example, check out our coverage of Lauri Kien Kotcher’s interview below.)
Future livestreamed events, video Q&As, and podcast episodes are also in the works. All of this content is designed to help you hone your skills as well as inspire you during this unprecedented time.
We consider it a privilege to be able to provide information to you, and we’ll always be here if you have any questions or feedback in the coming months. Also, if you have any thoughts or ideas on content you would like to see here or on our website, please reach out to me directly at email@example.com.
In the meantime, take some deep breaths, stay positive, and have a quarantini on me! Here’s to better days ahead!
