In this episode of Women in Retail Talks, Women in Retail Leadership Circle Co-Founder Melissa Campanelli interviews Petty Rader, chief growth officer, chief legal officer, and women’s group lead at Ergo Baby, a leading ergonomic baby carrier and accessories retailer. Petty Tsay Rader is currently the chief growth officer and chief legal officer of The Ergo Baby Carrier, Inc. (Ergobaby), a private equity-held business, where she serves as the strategic advisor for growth to the CEO and has responsibility for driving expansion of new product categories, international market development, and digital/e-commerce growth in B-to-C and D-to-C channels. She’s also spearheading corporate social responsibility, sustainability, and diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives for the company. Prior to this role, Petty was the president of Baby Tula, a subsidiary of Ergobaby; senior vice president of business development and general counsel for Munchkin, Inc.; and brand manager for Procter & Gamble.

Petty is active in promoting women’s leadership, and founded the UCLA Women’s Leadership Conference, which has continued for over 20 years. In law school, she also served as the law student liaison to the ABA Commission on Women in the Profession. Today, she continues to mentor women of color in business and the law, and she has started a Women’s Leadership employee-led organization at her current company.
