Women in Retail Leadership Circle loves to find ways to surprise and delight its audience — and this is another example of doing just that. Yes, folks, we’re announcing today that Arianna Huffington, CEO of Thrive Global, founder of The Huffington Post, author of 15 books, and one of Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people, has joined the roster of speakers for our ongoing virtual event, Women in Retail Leadership Days!
On April 13 at 12 p.m. ET, Arianna will be speaking with Shelly Ibach, president and CEO of Sleep Number, about why it’s important to bring your “whole” self to lead; why getting quality sleep leads to a happier, healthier life; strategies on how to end the stress and burnout we’re all feeling right now; healthy habits they both partake in that make them better leaders; and more. You won’t want to miss it!
(Note: In this week’s episode of Women in Retail Talks, hear from Lisa Erickson, senior director of customer relationship management and loyalty at Sleep Number, about how the company’s loyalty program drives its repeat and referral business; how the pandemic has brought empathy to the forefront of her leadership style; and more. You can find the podcast episode below.)
While we’re in the midst of our third week of programming for Women in Retail Leadership Days, there’s still a lot more content to come! Here’s just a sampling of additional sessions you can still tune into:
- On April 9 (this Friday) at 11 a.m. ET, join some of the women featured in Women in Retail Leadership Circle’s latest report, The New Next Gen: Women That Are Transitioning Their Careers for a Successful Second Act, as they discuss what inspired them to make a change later in their careers. Speakers include Stephanie Stuckey, CEO, Stuckey’s, and Susan Feldman, founder, In The Groove. The session’s moderator is the always great Shelley Zalis, CEO, The Female Quotient.
- On April 13 at 11:05 a.m. ET, we’ll be featuring a session titled “COVID-19’s Impact on Working Women … And What to Do About It.” In a panel format, three leaders helping to prepare women for their successful return to the workforce will present ideas and actionable steps to implement. Speakers include Reshma Saujani, founder, Girls Who Code; Shannon Gordon, CEO, theBoardlist; and Jess Huang, partner, McKinsey & Company.
- Following that panel, join Kim Scott as she discusses insights from her best-selling book, “Radical Candor: Be a Kick-Ass Boss Without Losing Your Humanity,” including how her brand of “radical candor” enables leaders to give feedback in a way that challenges their teams directly, but also lets them know that they care about them personally.
If you haven’t yet signed up for Women in Retail Leadership Days, there’s still time! Register here! Your pass is valid for the entire event, and all of the sessions will be available on-demand, so if you can’t attend a session on the live day, you can watch later at your own leisure. On-demand sessions will be available until May 13. We hope you can join us!
